Why I Believe My Asthma Disappeared After Embracing My Spiritual Path

Blessings, beautiful souls —

Perhaps it is the EESystem session that I had, or maybe it’s the integration of my identity, my path, and being non-apologetic as to how that looks, but yesterday I had an asthma test and was told that… I don’t have asthma anymore? That I’m breathing at 100%? What!?

If you work with chakras or past lives, you know that many of our present-day illnesses are tied to past life trauma or represent a block in energy flow in the present lifetime. For example, I had gastrointestinal issues – this is connected to the Solar Plexus, which is the chakra that receives the energy of others and can become blocked as a result of fear surrounding how others may see us. Once I accepted the next step in my spiritual journey, as well as abandoned the idea of The Self, my gastrointestinal issues vanished; the flow of energy no longer met a roadblock.

Lungs are connected to the Heart Chakra, and acceptance of who I am, my role on this planet, and my trust in the Universe to never lead me astray when it comes to sharing myself in that role is a direct connection to the Love of God. To trust in God’s Love is to open up my heart to the flow of energy of this Love.

I do believe that my lung issues and my fear of being seen are connected – I know I have been labeled a “witch” in a past life, burned as a heretic for what I practiced and shared with others. This could absolutely manifest as being asthmatic in this life, as my soul holds onto this trauma and the fear of that smoke in my lungs never seems to dissipate.

But now it has. Because now I have accepted and been able to stand in my truth fearlessly. Now I’ve accepted all the facets of me and my spiritual identity without the fear of repercussion, without the anxiety of having fingers pointed in my direction for standing in my Truth, without the hesitation as to how this might impact the way people see me – because it’s not my reality. How they see me isn’t my reality; it’s theirs, so they may live it however they wish. To free myself from wondering how this looks and makes others feel when I am simply leading a life with Love is unmatched. So unmatched that perhaps it also allowed me to breathe better.

It seems quite fitting that this asthma journey is coming to a close with the Full Moon in Aquarius (my Sun sign); almost like the moon is helping me bid farewell to a part of my identity that I held onto for far too long. One that offered me nothing and hindered me plenty.

The funny thing is that the night before my appointment, I dreamt of the doctor that would take me to that space of realization, this place of freedom to breathe. I didn’t do any research on the specialist I booked – I only selected someone close in proximity to me with the earliest availability. I dreamt of what he would look like, act like, how we would connect and speak in his office, and he was exactly like I dreamt.

My spirit was readying me for this news by making me comfortable with the person delivering it to me. It’s much easier to integrate a message in your being and embody the path that lies ahead when you’re also comfortable with the person it comes from. Perhaps, in a prior life, he was someone who stood and watched me burn and told me to let go so that I would no longer need to suffocate through this. Who knows! All I know is that now I am free.

Of course, this still needs to be monitored. I will still have check-ups to ensure I continue breathing at 100%. But I’m sure this shift is here to stay, as I don’t intend to build walls up against my Truth any longer, make myself small and unseen to protect myself, or worry about how my authenticity is digested by others. I have seen the damage it can do, and I do not wish to live it again.

It seems that was always what this journey was asking of me; not to heal my lungs but to stop holding my breath, to stop shrinking, to stop living as though my soul still remembered persecution more clearly than it remembered God and the Oneness I live in. The moment I chose to live openly and share what I know without apology, something within me finally exhaled!

I know this: I no longer carry the weight of being afraid to be seen. I breathe differently now because I live differently now. And that breath feels like freedom.
