Blessings, beautiful souls —
The Scorpio full moon has completely kicked my butt. There is no doubt about it. I have been avoiding rest, and it’s cracked me open, spilled me out, and forced me into it. Even writing this is too much for me, right now. But here I am. I have full and complete trust that this lesson will integrate and I will have to take my self-care more seriously, that there is some new beginning at this very huge personal crash, and that I’m being called to set greater boundaries through assertiveness. I was forced to do it three times since May first, and I am sure it will continue. There’s a difference between being guided into expansion and being pushed into collapse because you’ve ignored your own limits. I’m learning which is which.
I want to speak about a few things, beginning with looking at sin and bad from a new age lens. I use the term new age to define the spirituality movement that’s present on social media and pushed by publishing companies like Hay House and Rockpool – it does not define the work I do. Forgive me if this is all over the place; that’s how I’m feeling in my head, so it will likely translate to the same in blog format.
The spark for these thoughts came from watching a YouTube video about the book Conversations With God. I will tell you quite clearly: this book has all the bad jujus. It’s written by nefarious energies and is pushed by individuals such as Oprah who I also believe works hand-in-hand with evil entities, but that’s a whole other topic for a whole other day. Back to the book: it states that “God” (Source) said: “There is no bad” and that, “Hitler is in heaven.” Whhhaa–
Of course there is bad; we live on a fallen planet and have come here, in particular, for fallen Ego experiences as a way to perfect our soul to an enlightened place that is the opposite of bad/darkness. While we may all go to the same place (the aether), a soul like Hitler will spend their soul lifetime in “the classroom” and will not be given another chance to repeat an earthly existence and become as Source again. That’s… literally hell. You are not given any chance to develop your soul and rise, instead staying trapped and reviewing a single lifetime for eternity? Hell.
The new age movement says that sin and bad do not exist, and you just need to follow your heart, but our planet is filled with low-level souls who do not know the difference between Ego desire and the spirit speaking through their hear – so they act on those desires. The spiritual social media influencers of today will convince you to buy that new age item from their affiliated link, have sex with multiple partners (and energetically link yourself to them as a result), publicly ridicule the person who offended you in the name of spiritual righteousness, and buy their course on manifesting money to be happy, to find peace. But that’s a lie. Discernment is the missing piece here. Not every desire is divine guidance, and not every impulse deserves to be acted on.
In fact, that’s all bad spiritual guidance, and while I don’t adhere to the idea of sin as it was created by religious institutions as a way to fearfully control behaviour, all that advice and those suggestions will actually pull you further away from personal Alignment. Yes, joy does amplify your Alignment, but joy does not come from consumption, from energetically entangling yourself with others and disrespecting the body you’ve chosen in this lifetime, shaming others, or trying to make passive income off of other people’s desperation for wealth.
In that same vein, the new age movement tells you it’s okay to do all this because “you are God.” Uhm. Wrong-o. You are a fractal of God – this means you have infinite access to this whole and complete Source of Love and Light and Wisdom. Accessing that power through Christ Consciousness allows you to reach a greater place of peace, which is the ultimate vibration of Source, and everyone wants to find and hold onto peace. That is a state of enlightenment. Access to Source is not the same as authority over reality without consequence.
The idea that we can manifest anything we want because we are God is sold to individuals who are desperate for an opportunity to fix their life without putting in the work that is required: a deep-dive look into yourself and where you need to heal. People hate the healing part but love the Abundance part, and I get it. But it’s fraudulent to sell that to others as Truth.
I am no longer interested in spiritual ideas that feel good but leave me disconnected from Truth. If something asks me to override my body, ignore my intuition, blur my boundaries, spend frivolously, or abandon personal responsibility, it isn’t Alignment; it’s distortion dressed up as light. Real connection to Source sharpens you, humbles you, asks you to slow down, listen more carefully, choose more consciously. And sometimes, like now, it brings you to your knees… not to break you, but to make it impossible to keep pretending you weren’t already out of Alignment.
Anyway, Universe, I’m listening. I don’t really get it – right now – but I’m listening. And, slowly, I’ll be doing a real overhaul on my own life as a result. Perhaps this blog post will encourage you to question things you’ve been sold as Truth, as well. What has this Scorpio Full Moon illuminated for you? I’m sure it’s not pretty… In the meantime, it’s back to rest for me.
