Ascension vs. Ascended: Clarifying Two Important Spiritual Concepts

Following a conversation with soul fam, I was inspired to delve a little deeper into the word Ascension, in particular, how this differs from Ascended, which I do not believe are entirely one and the same, and one does not necessarily lead to the other. Let me explain.

I believe the path to Ascension is crucial. Without a focus on how to Awaken and move forward on a path guided by Light and Love, participating in the betterment of the Collective, you are essentially failing the goal of human incarnation: lessons and experience meant to allow your soul to “Ascend” or “Level Up” if you will.

But to Ascend differs from being Ascended.

Ascension or “to Ascend” refers to the ongoing process of raising one’s Consciousness or vibration to a Higher level of spiritual Awareness, Enlightenment, or Divine Connection. It involves personal growth, healing, and the transcendence of limiting beliefs, patterns, or attachments to lower vibrational states. Ascension is a journey of spiritual evolution, where you actively work toward aligning with Higher spiritual Truths, frequencies, and Source (Love).

Being Ascended refers to having already reached a state of spiritual Mastery or Enlightenment. In this state, you’ve transcended the limitations of physical and Ego-based existence and fully embody a Higher level of Consciousness. This can also be associated with Ascended Masters – Beings who have completed their soul’s journey of growth and Ascension and now exist in higher spiritual realms or states of Being, helping humans without the need to incarnate (eg. Siddhartha, Jesus, Mother Mary, etc.). They have transcended duality and Ego and live in full Alignment with Divine Consciousness.

There are levels of Ascension in the aether, and as we go through various earthly experiences, we navigate through these Soul Levels. Here is how I have come to understand Soul Levels:

• The Nothing (Recalibration Zone): No one starts in the nothing, as I call it: this recalibration zone is where you go (isolated) when you’ve fallen out of Level One due to some extensive cruelty or horrendous Earth experience, and you may or may not be given the option to return to an incarnated experience.
  
  
• Level One: Ego living, attachment to the human, passion-driven experience, generally young souls who are too excited by physicality, fall short in most lifetimes.
  
  
• Level Two: The ability to recognize Ego and to try and live in accordance with Consciousness and the Divine, still generally a young soul, potential to fall short in most lifetimes. Still difficulty understanding duality and integrating Spirit.
  
  
• Level Three: A thorough understanding of the duality of the Self and beginning to live a truly spiritual life, Aligned with a dedication to Truth and Love, generally mid-level in age (many incarnations), beginning to dedicate their journey to the healing of the Collective, sometimes have a tendency to fall short, sometimes tempted by the human experience.
  
  
• Level Four: Rarely falling short when it comes to living an Aligned life (or doing so, generally when they are younger), an understanding of the importance of the Divine and the illusion of the rest, usually many lifetimes on earth in many different bodies for a well-rounded understanding of human experience (though not always necessary!). Often begin being mentors to other souls while still reincarnating on Earth.
  
  
• Level Five: On the brink of Ascended, truly Enlightened living on Earth, living dedicated to Healing (of Self and the Collective), mentorship in the aether, but still needing to reincarnate for a additional growth and experience.
  
  
• Ascended: No requirement to incarnate again (but sometimes may choose to do so), have completely understood Divine Consciousness, have used human experience to its full potential, have dedicated a life to healing the Collective, and participate in the mentorship and guidance of other souls (aether and earthbound). Not every Level Five soul reaches Ascended, though it is the goal. Some saints and holy figures fall into this category.
  
  
• Elders and Ascended Masters: Have Ascended in the aether – successful mentorship, guidance, and healing from the aether to souls on earth and beyond. Have become entirely One with Source. There is no true difference between them. Very select few of Ascended Level souls reach Elders/Ascended Master status. Most great holy figures fall into this category.

Ascension and becoming Ascended are not one and the same. Ascension is the journey, an evolving path that focuses on raising Consciousness. Being Ascended, on the other hand, is the destination—a state of Mastery, where reincarnation may no longer be necessary.

I have met many (and am) on a path to Ascension, but I’ve met few who have Ascended. I have been told by Mother Mary and other channeled Ascended Masters that I am a “prophet” (their words, not mine), but not every prophet has Ascended (like Jesus has, for example). Not every prophet even needs to be in a Level Five soul category to be considered a prophet and to make a difference (I certainly am not). And not every prophet is positive, for that matter!

I believe my spiritual advisor (and friend) Carol is Ascended. I believe the true path to becoming Ascended is a thorough understanding of illusion around you and centering on the stillness (the God Consciousness) within you with such fortitude that you can share this with the Collective with grace and humility.

While many of us are on the path of Ascension, the journey is deeply personal; Ascension is not a race, and becoming Ascended is not a requirement to living a fulfilling and spiritually connected life. What matters most is our dedication to raising our own vibration and contributing to the healing and Awakening of the Collective. That is true fulfillment – that is in true Alignment with the Source energy.

In the end, it’s less about reaching an endpoint and more about the ongoing evolution of the soul. True mastery comes from recognizing the Divinity – the Essence of Love – within us all and living in Alignment with that inner Light.
