Amazon eBook Deals I Couldn’t Resist

Note: Some affiliate links, all images and descriptions are sourced from Amazon.com

I’m a sucker for deals, and sometimes the Kindle eBook deals are too good to resist.

A little while ago my husband bought me a Kindle Fire (I got the 7 which is temporarily out of stock, but at a cheaper price point than the eReaders by Amazon, and with a full-colour screen, it was the best option for me) and my weakness has been browsing the ‘Kindle Deals’ section and downloading books instantly from my mini e-reader tablet.

Who can resist a compelling plot at a two-dollar price point?! I even almost went ahead and bought a book I already read simply because it’s listed at $2.23 — by the way, I highly recommend Paris Letters if you haven’t read it but enjoy a good swoon over Paris (especially in a memoir format).

Here are a few books that made it into my cart and are sitting in my library right now, waiting to be read. Let me know if you’ve already read them and if it was worth my $1.99 or if I should just skip it — haha!

Crier’s War by Nina Varela

I got this one for just over a dollar but now it’s back up to its standard pricing. Check out this plot description; I didn’t even hesitate with this purchase!
“After the War of Kinds ravaged the kingdom of Rabu, the Automae, designed to be the playthings of royals, usurped their owners’ estates and bent the human race to their will.
Now Ayla, a human servant rising in the ranks at the House of the Sovereign, dreams of avenging her family’s death…by killing the sovereign’s daughter, Lady Crier.
Crier was Made to be beautiful, flawless, and to carry on her father’s legacy. But that was before her betrothal to the enigmatic Scyre Kinok, before she discovered her father isn’t the benevolent king she once admired, and most importantly, before she met Ayla.
Now, with growing human unrest across the land, pressures from a foreign queen, and an evil new leader on the rise, Crier and Ayla find there may be only one path to love: war.”

A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair

Uhm, who can resist a retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth? This one is still listed at the small price of $3.15 – and the second instalment in the series A Touch of Ruin is also on sale at just over four bucks! There’s also a third book, so I’m already thrilled that if I love this world, it doesn’t have to end.

These reviews sold me on getting the book:
I couldn’t read it fast enough and i can’t wait for the next installment! I ran through the entire gambit of emotions reading it! So sexy! – Crystal, Amazon Reviewer

I absolutely recommend this to any Greek mythology fans and especially fans of the web comic Lore Olympus. Not only fans but anyone loving a good supernatural romance. It’s a read that is well worth it. – Doc Harley, Amazon Reviewer”

From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This one is ALL over Bookstagram but at 99cents, it was difficult to resist. It’s no longer at that price point and I’ll be honest with you, at 622 pages, it may sit in my Kindle for a while! Have you read this one?

I LoveD You by Juniper Laganda

“This collection of poetry confronts the unfathomable emotions from when you lose your closest friend, your soul mate, and your identity.”
Written by my amazing and brave Instagram friend Juniper, this poetry collection is raw, authentic, and transformative. I have the physical copy but at only $2.98, you need to support this indie poet.

Far better than Kaur, in my opinion. You will gasp, you will have your heart broken, you will cry, you will smile. A new release that you’ll want to have on your Kindle before it becomes crazy popular on Bookstagram (who doesn’t appreciate the, “I read it before it was cool,” moment?).

Here are a few eBooks that I haven’t indulged in – just yet – that I spotted today during my daily deal browsing (it’s a problem, I know!).

The Vine Witch by Luanne G. Smith

Okay, I may cave shortly after posting this one because at just $1.99 the temptation is high. It’s about magic in a vintage vineyard in France. Wine? Check. Supernatural/fantasy? Check. France? Check. This literally checks all my fiction book boxes. (I may be clicking ‘Download Now” as I write this…)

Where the Forest Meets the Stars by Glendy Vanderah

This book is not only all over Bookstagram but also a best-seller. Apparently, the story is quite profound and life-changing. It’s currently a ‘Best Deal’ at the moment at only $4.99 so I’ve definitely been considering “Adding to Cart”.

If You Tell by Gregg Olsen

Despite being a pacifist who can’t stomach a horror movie and gore, I love memoirs and documentaries on true crime and people’s experiences of overcoming horrific traumas (true resilience and strength of the human spirit).
This particular one is described as,Harrowing and heartrending, If You Tell is a survivor’s story of absolute evil—and the freedom and justice that Nikki, Sami, and Tori risked their lives to fight for. Sisters forever, victims no more, they found a light in the darkness that made them the resilient women they are today—loving, loved, and moving on.” At a price-point of only $1.99, I’m certainly tempted.

You know you don’t actually need an eReader to enjoy these eBooks at these amazing prices?

Amazon has a Kindle app that you can download on your phone or your current tablet or even your desktop that allows you to read all your books. I used to read books on my phone until my husband got tired of me squinting at my tiny screen – haha. There’s no reason why you should miss out on these great deals.

Let me know if any of these books tempted you, or if you’ve read any already and think I should dive-in or skip it!

  1. Oh my gosh, I love browsing Kindle Deals on my tablet – normally I gravitate towards science fiction but some of these look great. I’m really eying The Vine Witch!

  2. I’ll admit, I’ve only read two e-books. I just don’t care for reading in a digital format. Paper books are the way to my heart and if I’m not using those, I listen to audiobooks. I try to get away from screens when I read because it’s such a form of self-care. Buuuut the Kindle deals can be so hard to resist. I didn’t know FBAA was at a discount or I probably would’ve gotten it. I’ve had that on my TBR for ages now. I hope you enjoy all of these!!

    1. I see you’ve jumped in the ebook train because of ARCS! That’s why I started with ebooks, too — Netgalley. But reading on my phone was getting exhausting. I’ve actually warmed up to eBooks more than I thought I would. I used to hate them and buy them but never touch them. But I adjust the lighting on the reader carefully and these deals totally tempt me. I’m enjoying my ereader more than I anticipated but of course, nothing beats a book in your hands!

  3. I am also for deals, all kinds of deals! Thank you for sharing these deals with us. I’m always looking to add more to my reading list and look forward to checking some of these out. Besides, who doesn’t love deals on books that will last until you get to them?
